Used compost.

Can used compost be used for anything?

Seems a shame to throw it away..

Re: Used compost.

Carol I never throw compost away, I don't fill tubs from scratch with new compost just the top part and dig some fertiliser into the bottom (organic if it is for a food crop) .
The top bit goes on the garden or in the bottom of a new tub.

Re: Used compost.

Hi

I never throw old compost away either.

I mix it with fish , blood and bone, from Wilko, and put on on the garden or mix it 50/50 with new compost.

Yes I mix it up with newer stuff, add some fish blood and bone as well, a few drops of baby bio and its good to go again, Carol. Good luck!
