Malcolm, fortunately I'm not Icelandic, 'cos I really hate fish. Technically speaking, I'm a Kraut but I try to keep it quiet otherwise I end up having to apologise for Angela Merkel.

BTW, technically speaking, my wife is a Kraut. She was born in the hospital at Rinteln when her dad was in the Army.

I agree. I have always respected the Krauts. They work hard and their industries are successful, largely because their management and unions have learnt to work together, unlike ours.We've been on holiday in Germany several times and we're going to the Black Forest in June. Hopefully, we will not be besieged by their migrants.
