Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Went to Church this morning - so nice to see different walls and friendly faces, even if they are half covered with masks. Churchwarden asked me to read the first lesson so had to take my mask off five minutes beforehand and clean my glasses!

Have put out the dustbins and recycling boxes ready for tomorrow and I'm now looking forward to watching the snooker in the warm.

Jac-can recommend "Queen's Gambit" on Netflix. It's nothing to do with royalty but the game of chess.Even if you don't understand the game of chess it's good.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Youngest grandson is here doing schoolwork on his laptop. At least he was, think he may be on Minecraft by now.

Managed to get my vaccine appt. this morning for next Monday evening. (That was when my car was booked in for service and MOT, so have just rung and changed that!) Was that your regular garage Rhosyn? Strange it should be closed when you had booked your car in.

See the rain has started here so may be glued to the snooker again....

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Having the vaccine at the local "cottage" hospital at Bronllys. It's the Pfizer vaccine and I presume they are using that because there would be a deep freezer there. There is also a vaccination centre at the Royal Welsh Showground where I think they might use the Oxord vaccine (no freezer there). I was told in my invitation letter that I would be going to Bronllys but the first thing the gentleman asked me when I rang was whether I was able to get there. There must be quite a few over 80's who wouldn't be able to get there and possibly queue outside!

Jac I have just started reading the first Bridgerton book, but I gather the video is very saucy. A (younger) friend posted her dismay at how much sex is in it (she was watching with her daughters).

I'm still watching Bridgerton and hadnt really noticed too much sexy scenes . LOL. I was surprised that there were lots of actors of colour playing the ladies and gents ,even the queen .
Tesco came last night so ok for a while
My great grandson has got an interview for a job in a garage paint spraying cars so hope it works out for him
Take care xxx

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

DIL came over to cut Rob's hair and for the first time wore a mask while she was in here. She has heard that there is a case of Covid in the village. To close for comfort if it's true.

Lazy day today, no grandson. No sheets to wash either - what a relief!

There were no cases of Covid in the Dulais Valley yesterday,so we must be doing something right.
