Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Had another trip down to the surgery after two phone calls and intervention from Care Provider. The prescription was found, but they only had the cream not the dressing required. Took the prescription down to the chemist in town and got home (in a snowstorm) with the cream - only to find there is no instruction on it as to how many times a day to apply it. Have just had a phone call to say my evening carer may not be able to get here so would I step in. Why is everything so difficult???

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Frosty cold morning.
Reading about the vaccination centres on line looks likely that I'll have to go to Bay Field Hospital in Swansea when it's my turn for the jab.
Another day for staying in apart from dog walking.
Keep safe.

Where is the Bay Field Hospital Rhosyn? Is it on the Mumbles Road? and how far from you to travel?

Glorious morning here but my road is diabolical. Rob's carer did get here but I shall be on duty as second carer at lunch time and probably this evening. Hope to goodness it improves a bit by tomorrow for the next carer coming in.

Gosh, a hospital on Jersey Marine! Is it a temporary one for Covid or a completely new one for the area?

The District Nurses will come to do Rob's vaccine - sooner or later, goodness knows when.

My family are scanning the second lot of hill sheep today. So glad the sun is shining, although I think it must be pretty chilly outside!

Started snowing about 2.30am(another sleepless night)Lovely blue sky now just hoping it won't freeze tonight or it'll be slippery underfoot in the morning.Dog loves having snowballs thrown so he can catch them.
The Bay field hospital is about 12 miles from here. It's near the Amazon warehouse on Jersey Marine.
Keep warm and safe.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

We've had some more snow overnight, but not a lot and Rob's carer got here from the village OK. Son has just phoned from Aberedw - it's still snowing there. He was coming up to look at the door latch to Rob's room but doesn't know if he'll make it.

Nothing else happening today - but it is the final of the World Bowls this afternoon - which I shall be glued to.

Had a good 2" of snow yesterday, froze overnight so it's treacherous out.A car skidded into the wall of the bungalow a few doors down yesterday evening.
Didn't risk taking the dog out this morning, will wait until it thaws.

Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)

Not sure how much school work is getting done by the youngest grandson today, the noises coming from the laptop do not sound scholarly to me! Glorious sunshine here, but my road to the village is very icy in places. Was supposed to take the car up to Builth last night to have it MOT'd, but decided not to risk it. Booked in for next Monday now (that's the second time I've cancelled, the first time was because of my covid jab.)

Much to my amazement the binmen have just driven down and picked up the recycling boxes.
