Thanks Bratti but far from it. I’ve definitely got to put in more work this Spring. I’m an amateur gardener

After harvesting there are usually so many chillies that I dry them and grind them up into a powder, I have enough for years after last summers harvest so will wait a before planting more.

I have often thought of growing my own black pepper (it is a vine) but haven't been able to find a supplier yet but it might only survive in the tropics. I have friends in Malaysia that grow them but they sell them to processors.
I do the same Bruce. I use it as a light seasoning.
I’m Indian but I don’t enjoy overly hot food. Just a bit of heat is perfect.

Indian food used to be my favourite but it got supplanted by Thai food largely because Australia doesn't have that many Indian restaurants. I am afraid I like it really hot and spicy, if it doesn't bring tears to your eyes then it's not worth eating (I am joking but only a bit).

My Chinese friends preserve their hot chillis in oil but I haven't quite worked that one out yet.

Yum Minx I love peppers .
The rock garden is sweet, my rockery has lots of succulents...
