As far as I'm concerned, asylum should be a temporary measure and extend only while the place of origin is a danger to its people. Even then, we should take no more than other safe countries.
As I understand it, people in danger should claim asylum in the first safe country they enter yet, strangely, they all seem to want to come to the UK for some reason.

I wonder how many people contacted their MPs before the vote to voice their feelings about the EU.I often contact mine about things that I am not happy about and policies I think are unfair.
Perhaps we need to do this more often now so they know how we feel before things get so serious.

then few days later my mep emailed me to tell me to vote remain, i replied oddly he never got back to me
