Freesat box

I have a SageM Freesat box which can record on two channels - or record on one and watch another! Can record a whole series over a period of time and creates a library of recordings.

That's the theory anyway.

In practice, none of the above applies! The recordings can stop abruptly, the endings disappear, the whole machine can freeze, buzz or die! It frequently needs rebooting or a factory reset or a hard drive reset............all recordings then get wiped!

Can anyone recommend the Humax Freesat which I should have bought instead of this piece of useless pile of *****!

We have humax too seems to work well, we have had to set the end of programmes manually though as for some reason some shows were ending after the recording when we first got it. Was only some though it worked well on majority of progs.

I've had a Humax Freesat PVR for over 6 years now and (touch wood) never had a problem. Go for it!
