I'm sat sitting still saying something silly as I smoke my pipe.I don't smoke it in other's homes,nor in crowded places...it's my little enjoyment as I finally arrive,knackered,usually aching,often fed-up with humans as a species,back here at Puggy Towers. It's an enjoyment,a pleasure,a peace-bringing activity,that many dislike and are often vocal about. But,my old pipe has travelled. It's seen things mere fags never experience. Plus,I sit here,tasting the mix of warm cherrywood and succulent,rich,but gentle flavours blended into the Black Cherry & Rum large-leaf tobacco I personally favour. The [to me] wonderful thing about smoking my pipe,is that it's a beautiful way to suppress the aches,the pains,the clicks,that artificial joints invariably bring with them-a distraction,if you will. Others,at this very moment,are sat watching porn,one arm a blur. Yet others are 'gaming',totally oblivious of the real world around them. Many,are gambling,knowing the resulting disasters that await,but too entrapped to stop. Me? Oh,I'm sat here with a guitar across my lap,as my espresso cools and my old cherrywood pipe chugs happily along. Y'see,one man's scrap is another man's gold. One size does NOT 'fit all'. Meh...it's a choice. I don't drink. Not at ALL interested in having alcohol in my system/affecting my decisions. But,I don't judge those who do...

In the days I used to smoke for quite a while I used to smoke a pipe. Had one of those pipes (Falcon brand) which had a detachable bowl. Before I used it I soaked the bowl for a couple of weeks in Pusser's Rum, then allowed it to dry off naturally for another month before screwing it back into the pipe stem. It gave a beautiful flavour to whatever tobacco you used.
