I have just bought that JML hands free one Angie and it really does work great...Like you I am always fighting with tin openers...

I have used it a couple of times, and it does what it says on the wrapper!!! How long it will work I do not know, but at the mo love it...

I've recently bought a battery-operated can opener too, as the previous 'wind-y' one gave up. Don't use it a lot, I must say, as nearly everything seems to be ring-pull now, but on the odd occasion I need it I am still amazed at how good it is - and no nasty sharp edges either.
(Wonder if we'll all be back in 2 years going 'Bliddy battery can-opener has conked out!'?)

I very rarely buy tinned products, maybe baked beans occasionally......and as DM says they come with a ring pull...

I have got an electric can opener and it works a treat - well, most of the time!
