Re: Do you lie about your ....... weight?

No I don't lie about my weight. I am always told I don't look big but I am OK front on but sideways, eek .

I am trying to lose weight at the moment (I have lost over half a stone), but fell off the wagon because my daughter bought me loads of fudge from Scotland. I have no willpower!

Why on earth do people ask your weight? How odd! I`m happy in my body and it`s no-one`s business but mine! I`ve been thin and I`ve been fat and I`ve mostly been in between but I`ve always been the same person inside.

I've also been both thin and fat, I prefer thinner to fatter, I can get into my clothes

I am trying to lose weight at the moment because I have high blood pressure, I am hoping to control it through diet, which isn't easy, if I don't I will be on a higher dose, which I am keen to avoid!

Any tips welcome I have told the doctor if I could have a gun and shoot two people in my life I would be fine

Weight doesn't matter at all.
Size and shape might but it's all relative
(PS - Muscle weighs more than fat, so getting fitter/being healthier could result in you weighing more and having a higher BMI (body mass index). All the England rugby team are obese, according to BMI calibration. Will you tell them? I certainly won't!)

Re: Do you lie about your ....... weight?

I have no idea how much I weigh as I haven't any scales in the house. It's probably a little more than it should be though. I agree about the size thing . . . I'm slightly overweight but was shocked when some machine my fitness instructor used calibrated I was obese . . . which I feel is complete nonsense in all honesty.

So no, I don't lie about my weight because I have not a clue as to what it is

Re: Do you lie about your ....... weight?

I was a skinny rather sickly child till I had a tonsillectomy, then promptly turned into a fat child, adolescent and young woman. A one point I weighed slightly over 180 pounds ...and am only 5'1"....; went on a simple weight reduction plan and managed to get down to a reasonable 130, which I've pretty much maintained since. (Actually, I think it's probably 140, but am lying about that extra 5 or so pounds )
