Tony & I would never be parted from our lovely king size bed no matter how much the other tossed about or snored.

I love to put my cold feet on him when I get in bed and to feel his arm around me when I wake up in the morning.

Aah, I think that's lovely Carol, good luck to you both, and long may it continue.

It amazes me that some married people as they get older seem to develop brother/sister type relationships.

Ah well - whatever suits.
I prefer that sort of relationship to the romantic, lovey dovey sort, but we are all different.

How come you got married in the first place Tara? Was it just a union of convenience?

Nothing as good as getting into bed, lie on one side and having a good fart.
It is one way to stop "er indoors " snoring as she has to get up and out of the bed for a time.

Oh but carol when you have separate beds or rooms that doesn't have to stop all that, it actually makes it more romantic we've found. Tippy toeing around to meet at night without waking anyone else up can be most thrilling !

Not sleeping with a snoring farter makes me look at my husband anew and I think he feels the same, we've had more cuddles by the kitchen sink since we got separate rooms than we ever did in bed, where we struggled to sleep due to the snoring, got irritable during the day because of lack of sleep.

We have been married for nearly 49 years so it has worked for us.

I don't think that's very nice. Why laugh because someone conducts their relationship differently to the way you conduct yours?
And, what business is it of yours what circumstances they conceived their children in?

Sorry, I find it all rather rude questioning someone's marriage especially when they are content with it themselves.
