Re: Good Morning Sunday

Good morning all sunny and cold here.

Off to the Garden Centre later to have a look around.

Well done to your nephew Meg!

Enjoy your day everyone...

Re: Good Morning Sunday

How goeth the day chums?

My day goeth WELL

Here is a nice story

"Everything is going wrong"" said the son to his father What do you mean?” asked the father. “Well, work is boring, the kids are behaving terribly, my wife and I keep having rows and to cap it all the dog is sick. Life is awful and I hate it,” came the tearful reply. “Don’t worry,” replied the father, “these things happen. It will pass, it will pass.”

A few weeks later they were on the phone again. “How’s it going?” enquired the father. “Great!” his son replied. “My work is good, the kids are fine, my wife and I are getting on famously and the dog is fully recovered.” So the father said, “Don’t worry, it will pass, it will

These verses reminded me of a song which had a regular habit if raising my spirits.

I can't tell you how long it has been stowed away in my consciousness or memory

Glad that I live am I;
That the sky is blue;
Glad for the country lanes,
And the fall of dew.

After the sun, the rain,
After the rain the sun;
This is the way of life,
Till the work be done.

All that we need to do,
Be we low or high,
Is to see that we grow,
Nearer to God on high.

(Lizette Reeves 1909)

Re: Good Morning Sunday

buenas dias all. Weather, more or less the same as yesterday.

Robert Jnr, that song brings back memories, it was school assembly song.

Well done indeed to your nephew Meg. Would that be Weston Park in Sheffield? A fine hospital indeed.

No plans for today, I don't have much enthusiasm for anything when it's cold.

Have a nice day all.

Re: Good Morning Sunday

Good morning all.
We have sunshine at the moment but half an hour ago it was dark and sleet was coming down in the risk wind that wevery have had all morning.
I have great admiration for anyone who can grow their hair long enough for wig making and then be shaven. Particularly in this cold weather. Hope he's gota warm hat. Great cause to raise money for, well done.
