I like how it connects me to my family in America, i have more family in the States than I do here in England.I also love the fact it has brought some very special people into my life. I have 2 friends from Texas and a married couple in Canada, who without the net I would have never met. My husband and I have been friends with our Canadian friends for over 20 years, we met on netmeeting which was really a bit like the first ever social media. One day we hope to meet in person, they have invited us over to their place many times but we've never had the money, hopefully one day. We exchange christmas cards and phonecalls and talk on messenger and facebook a lot.
I also love the internet because without it I would have never 'met' you lot on here! Although the odd one I do wish I hadn't 'met' but such is life, can't have our own way all the time I enjoy spending some of my spare time with you guys, even the grumpy ones haha
