Perhaps if she had been in actual combat and downed numerous German fighters , she could be said to be the equal of men. Merely, flying planes from one airfield to another hardly makes her the equal of men.
Compare that to Britain's #1 fighter ace, Marmaduke Thomas St. John Pattle, a South African volunteer in the R.A.F., had a minimum of 40 confirmed "kills" and possibly as many as 60.
