Being pestered by vote chasers with our local elections. On the door and phone. They should check at the voting station first

Bollox to all of 'em. Who in their right mind would vote for any political party in the current climate of things. Nothing will change. None of them have any sound ideas. They are a bunch of lying, self-obsessed hypocrites.

They don't bother here it's a forgone conclusion I really sometimes wonder why we spend money on elections when we all know same party will win each time. Same family for donkeys too.

Very different here, it has been both.

The local Councillor is Labour, but very good.

We are aware when council elections are due, the street is cleaned, all shrubs are pruned, bulk rubbish is picked up for free (by private contractors), and the binmen are on strike again

Same round here, new bits of tarmac appear on public roads and around council estates instead of the usual outside of councillors homes.

I know what you mean, one of my neighbours has a ‘friend’ who works for the council, all you have to do is mention something that needs council attention and she is on the case, job jobbed as they say.
She likes to impress us plebs.
