They don't bother here it's a forgone conclusion I really sometimes wonder why we spend money on elections when we all know same party will win each time. Same family for donkeys too.
We are aware when council elections are due, the street is cleaned, all shrubs are pruned, bulk rubbish is picked up for free (by private contractors), and the binmen are on strike again

Same round here, new bits of tarmac appear on public roads and around council estates instead of the usual outside of councillors homes.
I know what you mean, one of my neighbours has a ‘friend’ who works for the council, all you have to do is mention something that needs council attention and she is on the case, job jobbed as they say.
She likes to impress us plebs.
