New Expressions You Hate

With the internet and all there's lots of new terms. What are some you find particularly annoying. Two I really hate and I'm sure I'll think of more are:

Man Up
My bad (if you're not polite enough to apologize)

One thing I can't stand is when someone doesn't understand something and the other person goes DUH......Teens are great for this....

Agree with all the above!
There are so many, I really think somebody should write a book about them!
"No offense, but...."
"Trending"
"Skill set"
"No brainer"

....and many more!

All of the above and:-

Blue sky thinking
Pushing the envelope.
Think outside the box.
'innit'
Laters.
Love you lots (from people you barely know!)

I am sure there are others.

When people spell - or even worse, actually say O.M.G. I could slap them.

The misuse of 'literally"
Overuse of "like." It's like, real annoying, like.

Noone is used instead of "no one".......This (noone) really gets up my back.

Re: New Expressions You Hate

Up for grabs is one I absolutely detest!

They even say it on the BBC News now and other "americanisms" which are not really relevant or even up-to-date in the US as far as I can tell.

"Gimme five" or "press the flesh" - that's just weird in the UK!

Also, we don't have dollars so why is Big Bucks used, or Grand for thousand - that always reminds me of old gangster films!

I've never really understood Way to Go either - where does that come from?

Occasionally though I heard that "Know what I mean" is making a comeback - pronounced "Naaaartameen"!! stevmk2
