I usually watch the track and field events and rowing.
One of my BILs was part if the rowing team in 2012, so that made it all the more interesting

This year the DIL of my ex-work colleague is competing in the 800 meters. Doubt that it will be shown but I shall be watching just in case I can spot her.

Yes a major sporting event starting Friday. Newcastle United v Fulham, first game of the season.


Lets hope that secondary event the limpics wipes out all soaps for a fortnight.

I love most sport and will definitely be watching the Olympics until I go away and then I will catch up with the highlights on my return - roll on Saturday.

How can you tell if they are sporting a Brazillian?
I really cannot see the attraction.

I agree. Any horse sports are best in my opinion. I shall be watching those avidly.

People are so different, I will be watching track and field, swimming, boxing and diving....I will avoid anything with horses in them, animals have no place in sport IMO
