Re: Would you re-marry.

Freedom can be overrated, and can easily be confused with ego, it takes guts to trust another Human Being, with your Ego.

Nope, it's hard enough finding someone with the same interests that's not either depressed or a filanderer!
I don't want to live with anyone, just a guy to go on an outing with now and then would be fine and not down the pub either.

You have really narrowed your market now, much soul searching is done in the Pub, if I remember right.

I did 30 years of marriage and 10 years of living with somebody. I think l've done my duty to God and The Queen!
By coincidence, today 14th August would have been my 45th wedding anniversary. I always feel very sentimental on this day!

I think you're being facetious (), but how can one's freedom be confused with ego spitty?...from a confused non-egotistical person

Twenty years ago I might have tried a few dates to see how it went. Not now though.

Spitty, If l was someone who really read into things. I would question how happy you really are in your marriage? Some of the things you are saying, smack of sour grapes!!

Re: Would you re-marry.

It took my late OH and I over 30 years to actually 'do it'
but the circumstances were extraordinary.

Money was never an issue and we always had a joint Bank account.
Remarrying at this age, might not be sensible because of all the legal stuff regarding inheritance.

However ... I certainly enjoyed being married at last.
My 'women's lib' type of thought about losing my surname became of no consequence ...

It was something I thought I'd never be able to do ... and I would REALLY like to see if I could do it again ESPECIALLY if I get another ring

Nothing fancy, no jewels and second hand will do nicely
