Re: Migrant swarm invades Ceuta Morocco !!
The dirty little secret is that people have become a commodity and trafficking them has become big business. Drug cartels and other organized crime groups are taking advantage of the desperate who are willing to pay thousands to cross borders. People who used to move drugs around the world are already savvy about how to move people. Over here, human smugglers are known as coyotes.
The horrors of crossing our (at least) borders are staggering. Women are raped en route as a price to continue on, people are held like indentured servants (often sex slaves) to pay off the debt that increases as the travel continues, children are being dumped alone over walls and in deserts as a desperate means to pick them up, un accompanied minors are being horribly abused. Just this week, several children were found alone in the desert (how many weren't?), and a border town house was found to have 90 people jammed inside to essentially be used as slave labor.
Unstable countries need to understand that every time a decent working person emigrates, the cost in productivity, GDP, and lost tax revenue goes down. For some reason, they really don't get this. If these countries can't stabilize their own nations, they will bankrupt themselves. Better to deal with it now.
We also need sanctions against countries like France that are just waving illegals through...
