Then they stopped the three vaccinations being given separately. That meant anyone with a known possible reaction couldn't opt not to have any of them, it was all or nothing. My son had a known possible reaction and rather than him risk this none of those vaccinations were given.

This was noticeable in the number of parents who wouldn't allow all three to be given. That means vaccinations against the other two were not given so leaving that child at risk. I can't recall the exact details as it was around 35 years' ago now.

Sometimes these things are not always thought through enough.

The Whooping cough vaccine came out in the 1950's,
Measles vaccine in 1968,
MMR in 1988

All after I was born

Most people are happy with separate vaccines. I think these should be offered where possible. The argument against is mostly financial. But if it restores faith in vaccination then they should do it. Because to date children still die of Measles because of fear of the combined vaccs.
