I keep getting emails from them asking for money to upgrade which I'm not doing. I've now started downloading the albums, unzipping them, checking the photos then deleting the album. You can only download the albums they let you see but after you've downloaded them you can see other albums. When I've deleted all my photos I'm going to close the account.

They're not stealing my photos

I got rid of photobucket ages ago when they started that nonsense. I left a few photos there because every time I tried to retrieve them, the adverts were relentless and took up half the screen, so I couldn't even see what I was doing. I hope you manage to get everything, Warleyron

same here. I now use "imgur" free but also "Flickr" for better quality storage

Yes I used Photo Bucket for years and liked it. Now I use "Postimages.org" they are even better, with a load of links/codes for posting your photos to forums ect.

I gave up on Photobucket as well, I now use www.imgbb.com which is free and fills all my needs, albeit few..

I went from photobucket to Imgur in 2017 when they wanted to bring in a price of $399 a year (£281) for people who wanted to embed images in posts like some of us do here. They climbed down with a lesser price after a while but the damage was done. I believe lots of customers left. Don't know what they did after that but I notice some photos hosted there had a watermark on them.

I note they want about £61 a year for the service now. That's too much when others are offering the service for free.

I know server bandwidth has to be paid for and I might have stayed if the price had been reasonable enough. I'd been using the service free for ages and I could have felt it fair to pay something. Not that much though. Imgur is fine.
