Ha! You think immigrants are a net drain on the UK? Wrong, they are a net benefit to the UK. Oh, and you really need to check the rules on EU citizens from one country claiming benefits in another EU country. Or do you simply prefer ignorant prejudice?

.
You are looking at this from one simplistic lens. The EU sell more to India than it does to the UK ... they do not 'need' the UK. We sell almost half our exports to the EU - we do need this to continue.

Where do you think this money comes from??
It can only come from two sources?
1, our trade with the rest of the world! In which case that
trade is subsidising our trade with eu??
2. We print the money??
Neither option makes sense imo!!

Regards Donkeyman!

Or we borrow it? increasing the national debt.

So again, explain why you see any sort of parity in dependency for trade.
That 8% is spread over 27 countries but most of our trade is done with our near neighbours. Some of the 27 we do very little trade with so that 8% figure is a little distorted. The growers in Holland and Spain for example will feel it. Wines from France and Italy is another example.

True, some countries growth is low but even the worst performing EU countries are slowly pulling back from the terrible 2008 crash. Please provide figures to support your claim otherwise we can simply reject it.
3. The UK benefits least out of the single market. How do you figure that? The single market was a Thatcher concept that hugely benefits the UK. As is evidenced by the 48% of our exports going to the EU.
4. We will get better trade deals out of the EU. No, we are very unlikely to do that. We benefit from the EU agreed trade deals with many countries and these are on terms that the UK alone are very unlikely to improve on. Why would any country give a better deal to a place that offers less than the whole of the EU?
You talk of we, Gascony??
Yet you appear to be living abroad??
If so l think that disqualifies from using the we??
