Does muscial/artistic talent run in your family?

Yes we do or should I say did as unfortunately the new generation doesn't seem interested in showing any musical talent. When I was a little girl our family entertained in old people's homes as they were called in those days. My dad played piano, my mum had a fabulous voice, my sister's sang, my uncles both played guitar and one of them sang and my grandma played toe tapping harmonica wow I wish I had recordings of her playing she was so good. I was the youngest and I sang. When I was 8 I took up playing piano. Unfortunately I never had my dad's natural talent and I had to work very hard at it. I have a piano but I rarely play it. When I was at school I learned to play the baritone and euphonium and I wasn't too bad. I once played alongside the brass band that featured in the movie Brassed Off if anyone knows it. I wasn't in the movie though lol. Great movie if you haven't seen it I can recommend it. I remember when I was at school I always wanted to learn the Clarinet but my music teacher wanted me to concentrate on brass. Perhaps I should take it up now, on second thoughts I don't think my neighbour would be too happy with the noise. Sorry for the long post but thank you for listening and allowing me to reminisce.

That's really nice, Lion Queen, and you should encourage you dad to keep doing this as it's good for him to remain active.
I think of my own dear departed father when I see things like this. he was a great man, and I know how much you admire your own dad.
