Re: First daffodil

Ooo! Not even a peep here in Cheddar! Although a hyacinth flowered a few weeks ago, I forgot I stuck it in a pot outside after last Xmas .
I went to school in Keynsham, perhaps it's the chocolate in the air still making it fertile!

Re: First daffodil

A couple of days of sunshine and that should be in bloom, Seadog.
Nice reminder of what's to come ey.

That's amazing seadog. I'm not sure if I have any or not, haven't really ventured into the garden for a while.

Re: First daffodil

Mine are just peeping through the soil.

That is certainly early to be almost in flower though

Re: First daffodil

Do remember years ago when working down the South coast and driving down there that The Daffs were blooming at the end of Jan but dead by the end of Feb.

At East Dean near the Birling Gap there is a car park and in the middle there is a grass bank were at this time of year should be covered by Snowdrops.

Went a few days ago and nothing is showing.

Will give it another 3 weeks and take some Picks.

But Slow this year.

Think because it was a cold Autumn.
