Hard To Please OAPs

Anyone seen this on ITV on Tuesdays?
It's a group of "well known oldies" testing out modern gadgets.Quite amusing.

I think I saw one of them. Was that the one with Dot Cotton?

I've seen a couple of them Rhosyn, and I thought it amusing too.
Scary thing was, I could relate to it all too easily.

Re: Hard To Please OAPs

Yes amusing enough.

However, it's completely staged and scripted, and I bet most of them are completely au fait with computers and a lot of gadgets.

Although it's entertainment, it worries me a bit that it is pandering to stereotypes...... you know, old people don't like or want change, and can't cope with it.
So untrue in so many cases.

It might have been more meaningful, with some of the more stupid gadgets, to have also had young people finding the gadgets awful and unworkable too!

That dog poo vac must be one of the worst.

To start with, it's just another thing to have to clean and disinfect! Sod that!
Another battery to recharge.
Another gadget to have to store somewhere..... I wouldn't want to keep it in the house.

Plus, you can't carry that when out on walks with the dog!

No, give me a compostable bag and a bottle of antibac gel any time!
