The covid deaths over the last 3 months are double the entire swine flu deaths over an 18 month period and this is despite lockdowns. Epidemiologists will be knocked if they get it right and knocked if they get it wrong.

There's a lot of politics involved in all this. But one thing they have found is that it can take some people a long time to develop antibodies after contracting the virus. So that means in theory you could catch it twice. (and pass it on).

Masks are just as much to protect others as yourself.

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

Another milestone reached

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/

Coronavirus Cases: 300,469 Deaths: 42,288
Note: these are government figures on numbers of confirmed cases – some people who report symptoms are not being tested, and are not included in these counts.

Nevertheless:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-53106673

The UK's coronavirus alert level has been downgraded from four to three, the country's chief medical officers said.

Under level three, the virus is considered to be "in general circulation" and there could be a "gradual relaxation of restrictions".

Previously transmission was considered to be "high or rising exponentially".
I remain cautious .....

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

The Center for Disease Control C.D.C. (USA) has announced that people with type 'O' blood typically DO NOT have as a severe reaction once they have contracted coronavirus.
They get sick , mind you, but not nearly as sick as other blood types.

Hi

We are learning a lot about the virus, we still have a lot more to learn.

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

Hi

Wearing a surgical mask is not to protect you, it is to stop you spreading the virus to others.

To protect yourself you need an FFP3 mask.
