If you take into account the interest over 25 years it comes to a tidy sum, probably 4 times the value of your house.

$1,733.76 X 20 years = 34,675.20

Amount of mortgage loan - 21,000.00

Difference - $13,675.20

Oh and I forgot to say that my loan was at 5.5% interest, which was good as they started going up.... way up.... a year or so later. I got it just at the right time. luckily.

Now you know more about my late mortgage than you wanted to!
