Re: Question for the ladies who have gone through menopause

Thanks for all the great replies, everyone. I know every woman is different, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what other women have gone through.

As for HRT, that scares me. I don't think messing with the natural process of hormones is a good idea.

I agree with you Linda. Best avoided if you manage without.
Are there any homeopathic places near you that you could ask advice from perhaps?

Re: Question for the ladies who have gone through menopause

I read a good book issued by Family Planning, built myself up with fresh fruit and Gin Sing, took loads of fresh air and exercise, both walking the dog and gardening. I did have the usual symptoms but to be honest, so much was going on at that time that I just found the flushes etc an annoyance.

Yes I did. But I was young and didn't know any better. What I did 30 years ago is different from what I would do today.

Not sure about that, but thanks for the idea. I'll check into it and see if I can find out anything.

if I can remember that far back, periods finished when I was 45 and had hot flushes for about 6 months and that was it.

Re: Question for the ladies who have gone through menopause

I was just thinking the same thing, Patsy. Wow! She definitely escaped the dreaded female fate, hahaha.

I wish my periods would just stop. Sometimes they come regularly (28-30 days apart), sometimes I have periods twice a month and sometimes I'll go 2-3 months without one. And I'm thinking yes! Are they finally stopping?

But nooooooooo, back the damn thing comes and usually with a vengeance. Like it's saying, "You thought I'd left ya, didn't ya? Hahahahaha!"

I'm not gonna laugh Linda, just a 'little giggle'
Hope the end is in sight for you x
