When is old .....old

When is old 'old'. When I was in my forties and early fifties I thought I would never be old, the age of 65 which I am now seemed really old and a million miles away. Now I'm 65 I still don't feel old , and the age of 75 seems a million miles away , yet now I know it's not , and will I feel old when I'm there.

A lovely lady I know is 89 and tells me she doesn't feel 89 , as that sounds old .

Another in her late 70s won't go to the day centre because it's too full of old people.

It's a strange old life !

Last night this old bird went out looking pretty good for old , (not mutton dressed as lamb ) enjoyed a great night with a younger crowd of friends , and still didn't feel old ....

I don't feel old at all and thankfully I am told I don't look my age.

I like modern clothes, modern music in fact age is just a number. If we didn't know our age, I'm sure we would all feel so much younger.

It is a known fact that we are ten years younger in our mind and body than what we use to be. So Susan you are only 55.

It's not your mind that tells you that you are old, it's your body.
I am in my 3/4 70s. Every one guesses that I am much younger. I try not to act old, but when the back gives way I have to realise my age. I can still ride some of my bikes, but the other day I found it difficult to get my leg over the x bar of one. Well I put it down to my back ache at the time.

If it weren't for me health problems, I'd have stayed at 30 - so it has to be 35 !

I just take it as it comes, some days I feel like a youngster and others days like an old crock. My paternal grandfather was a grumpy old sod up to the time he died at 76, I’m always aware of that in my mind, especially when young folks are around me, and I always manage to be in good form with them, none of the old crap “We didn’t do that when I was your age” I didn’t want to hear that kind of talk when I was young so I don’t use it on them, I prefer to wait until they ask me about the old times, then I keep it short and don’t turn it into a lecture like some old farts do.
I’ve had a weeks holiday in a place that holds fond memories for the wife and me, so today I feel refreshed and about 50 years old.
I can still get the leg over so I might get me old bike outa the shed and go for a spin later on.
Come to think of it, the ages between 50 and 60 were very enjoyable years for me.
