Handrails over my step

Weve lived in this house a year now and weve got very step steps out the back, I risk my life every time I walked down them. Well now we got a garden firm in and they made some handrails for me. It's so much easier for me to walk down them now. What do you think of them?

It's very solid and won't move. I'm very pleased with it. I'll varnish it next spring.

Goodness, they are a little steep aren't they? I like your hand rails because they are wooden and not the metal poles some have installed around here.

Thanks maryl, the wood has been treated as well. I'm a very large lady and unsteady on my feet so it was very dangerous for me walking down them unaided.

I prefer the wooden ones to the metal ones as well.

Re: Handrails over my step

Forgot to mention that my nephew has recently changed the steps. Before there was only 3 steps and alot steeper to what they are now and Asti pulled a muscle in her back slipping on them, so now they are alot better.

The handrails look great Alicat, I prefer the wooden ones too. Much, much safer for you now!

They must have been quite dangerous Alicat, especially in the winter. Glad you will now be safe from falling
