Old photographs

Following on from Puddle Duck's interesting thread about the photo of the mystery couple found in a relative's house, I was wondering if anyone has moved to a house and found old photographs of previous owners?

My house was built in 1886 and I would have loved to have found an old pic of previous owners which could be framed and hung on a wall. Perhaps standing outside the house ( a common pose years ago).

Unfortunately I didn't find any and despite doing a bit of research have come up with nothing.

Not from a house I moved into but, some I found when clearing my uncle's house, many I couldn't identify, some very old.

Yes, I suppose that would be a bit of a problem as photos were very grainy then unless taken by a professional.

The photos were mostly clear, some from Frieze Greene ( not sure of spelling) but I don't know who the folk in them were. I wish I did, there were some very interesting looking people!

I have some from relatives. I do know who some are, but not all. I have scanned them into my pc.
Mum on the right & a friend outside my maternal Grandparents house.

I think this is Helston.

Hi realspeed.

I am in the process of doing that but have not found anything so far. The trouble is, our town has a rather lovely church so the majority of old photographs are of that.

I have no idea who these are. Relatives, but can't put names to faces.
