Probably due to it being considered a natural way of life in such places, especially in the medieval middle East

They do not go around killing people although there are occasional domestic crimes.
They have a high suicide rate and suicides are mainly using firearms.

You can't compare figures between UK and America, America is a huge country compared to UK.

I feel unsafe in my small town never mind the damn country!

Yes, but I compared rates per 100.000 of the population.
