To abolish something you have to have it in the first place.

How can you abolish democracy in a country where the upper house is unelected? The UK may have given the world the Westminster System but it took countries like India, New Zealand and Australia to make it democratic.

Be that as it may the 'Referendum' was a stuff up from beginning to end. No one knew what they were voting for other than the simplistic 'remain' or 'leave'. No terms of leaving were explained, no Constitution was being amended, it was a stupid political stunt done for short term advantage done in the belief that the "Leave" vote was impossible.

When Australia has a referendum the constitutional amendment to be voted on must have previously passed both houses of Parliament and it must past the test of a double majority. IE it must be passed by a majority of voters and it must be passed in a majority of states as well.

If it is passed then the amendment is taken to the Governor General to be made Law. The wording or the actual change is not decided on later - exactly what you voted for is exactly what you get - not some wishy washy idea with lots of blank spaces and vague slogans about putting savings back into the health service.

This is a very naive statement. The UK has already been dropped into a total shit pile and has been there for the past 40 years, ever since the fraudulent politicians and prime ministers (starting with Ted Heath) moved us over into the EU without ever asking the UK people if they wanted to be in the EU.

Whetehr we like it or not we ARE in that shit pile and staying in there in order to not "rock the boat" is simply not an option. The EU has become a corrupt cesspit and the glee with which they mock the UK now and the lengths they are going to to make it difficult for us underpin completely why we should be running for the exit door RIGHT NOW before that door is irrevocably and terminally closed to us and all other 27 member states.

What people currently perceive as our existence within the EU is little more than a fair tale honey moon period. Yes, we currently have "special treatment", we have exemptions for things like moving over to the EURO from Sterling and so on. BUT . . . . . . . .

Those exemptions are merely TEMPORARY.

The UK HAS SIGNED the Lisbon Treaty which MANDATES that WE MUST ACCEPT THE EURO. It is there in Black and White.

It also states we must make our military services available to the EU, essentailly moving our UK National military capability over to the "EU Army"
which the EU Stooges says does not exist and won't exist. lol.

All of these exemptions are just temporary luxuries, there to appease the people until such time as they are ready to reveal the totaltarian nightmare
that awaits all EU member states.

Ultimately WE WILL have to give up the pound and accpet the EURO
We will have to give up our army and navy forces
We will lose the right of Habeus Corpus (Innocent Until Proved Guilty) and in its stead will have Corpus Juris (Guilty until you prove your innocence)

Any way you cut it we already are in the shit pile you refer to. We have been put there by fraudulent politicians and prime ministers, Common Purpose stooges operating at every level of UK social fabric, in the police, judiciary, government, local councils, health services and so on.

We have no choice now but to try and flee whilst we can and everything that is currently happening around us it testimony to why this need is so urgent and great. The Common Purpose machine is desperately trying to keep us entrapped in the EU. It is desperately trying to change the hearts and minds of UK citizens. The internet is now flooded with teams of social media pundits spreading cleverly worded rhetoric to make Leavers become Remainers. It's a MASSIVE PROPAGANDA CAMPAIGN an has been goin on since the referendum.

The marches in London simply a part of that whole campaign.

We must get out of the EU as fast as we can before it is too late.
However I fear that the totalitarian state will simply not let us leave. There's little point trying to keep the illusion going. Most realise it is a corrupt entity of powermad megalomaniacs so I suspect they will just go and prove to everyone that they are by refusing to let us leave. Everything happening around us on the streets, in the media, TV, radio and on social media is all part of a mass campaign to keep us from leaving.

We have to get out of that shit pile, and yes it is going to hurt and be difficult but we have no choice. We have already been put in that pile fraudulently, so we have to fight our way out and make accountable those who put us in there in the first place.

Poor little UK can't even do democracy right. Thank God for Australia for showing us how to do everything properly!

Going back almost 200 years you will find someone who wrote: alle menschen werden brüder.
When a member of a family decides to leave to make it on its own:
you wish him luck, even though you may be worried for his future,
accept the consequences the leaving has for those who are left behind.

The one leaving still is family, though. Good luck brother, good luck.

You are quite right. Sad but true.

Once again you are quite correct. Of course they do, it was this representative democracy that made them citizens of the country rather than merely the fauna that the Westminster Parliament held them to be.

Our democracy gave them the voice your parliament refused them.

Supporters "say", supporters "estimate". Getting to be like the claims of the numbers that attended Trump's inauguration.

Industry body the SMMT described the lack of progress in talks as hugely disappointing and said it had "grave concerns".

Car makers are looking at alternative ports, increased warehousing and moving the supply of some parts outside the UK.

BMW has already*brought forward an annual shutdown of Mini productionto coincide with the UK's departure from the EU, while*Jaguar Land Rover has warned of the potential loss*of tens of thousands of UK jobs.

It's not just business which is pessimistic about a deal being struck in time.

International Trade Secretary Liam Fox this week reiterated his prediction that a no deal scenario was more likely than not.
