A story?Ok....when I took my tests for my Tang-Soo-Do black belt,there was to be an 'eminent person' at the gym. None of us knew who this 'eminence' was. As I was warming up with the other three people also taking exams for their black belt,a voice said "Oh,hello-do you still prefer your tea strong,with no sugar?"...I span around-and there stood Princess Anne. We'd met a few months earlier,when I took an articulated lorry carrying sugar-beet pulp to Windsor Castle. I had one HELL of a job getting across one of the streams,as the bridge and my wheels were the same width,so they got scratched [VERY slowly,I must add!] Anyway,we were in the stables behind Windsor Castle,I got the ropes & sheets off,we started lifting off the bags of horse-feed [the pulp] and each one had to be lifted onto your shoulder and then climb a ladder,to pour it into the big hopper. One of the staff asked if I'd like a brew,and I said "Nottarf,poppet-strong,no sugar,please" and carried on unloading...until a male member of staff grabbed me and hissed "You do NOT address her highness that way!" ...you can guess the rest...
BUT-Princess Anne came back into the stable,SHE was carrying a tray,with six mugs of tea and a packet of Rich Tea biscuits...and she was smiling!
She thought it was funny. We all sat on sacks of pulp chatting for ten minutes,as if there weren't a princess among us. WHAT a nice lady!

Yes-after I'd delivered there a few times and they'd done background checks,enhanced disclosures,service records,etc,etc,they did show me a few [there,apparently are several,in different parts of the grounds] of the tunnels. That tiny stream I mentioned,where I had to get a fully-freighted 44-ton artic over a 13th century TINY bridge,actually runs along the top of one of the tunnels,Sweets.25-09-2018, 05:04 PM

You'll know they thought by running the tunnels under the streams,they thought nobody would think a tunnel could be there,Sweetie...and they were right. What’s all this then? our Pug mixing with royalty and the sweet one born in Windsor? I’ll have to wear me good gear when I’m posting on here, can’t let the side down in the presence of royal blood, M’Lord and M’Lady expects you know.
Didn’t an Irish fella called Fagan sneak into the queens bedroom and have a fag and a chat with her many moons ago, her sister Margaret used to smoke Pall Mall by the truck load, maybe Lizzy has the odd drag on the sly, one never really knows does one, whatever happened to Fagan I wonder? lost the head I suppose.
