Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

Gummy I need to go there.
I'm planning next year and thinking.
Maybe I will take a look at the flights and accommodation. Shall we all go?

Re: Leisurely Scribbles (part 5)

Jem...if I may, good sir?

An 'era' per-se tends to be a period of time we inturlekchalz think of as having certain [usually geological] happenings or incidents, which change the habitat-and therefore the creatures-in a permanent way...
ie; the 'Paleozoic Era' lasted an approximate 542 million years, forming the Himalayas,Alps and separating the Eastern Russian Peninsular from what is now known as Alaska. Then came the 'Mesozoic Era',lasting approximately 252 million years...during which the Balkan Sea was formed, as were the Mediterranean Sea & the English Channel...[yes,you froggy sods,it's ours!]
{Ahem...sorry}...and currently we're enduring the 'Cenozoic Era' which has so far lasted an estimated 66 million years - it's the 'current era' and has seen changes such as the emergence of mammals, the dying-out of non-avian dinosaurs ['Cenozoic' actually means ''New Life''] and is of itself made up of three periods, known respectively as the Paleogene (66 million to 23 million years ago), the Neogene (23 million to 2.6 million years ago), and the Quaternary (2.6 million years ago to the present)....and I shall now STFU and go arapidly in the general direction of 'away',as I've just read through and realised just how bloody incredibly boring I really am! [Even when typing with one hand!] Sorry...won't do it again...honest...

Well let us see how much compensation I get for my accident. Court papers have now been issued. Both Camden and Westminster.

My God Gummy you certainly got around in your day, it was my late brother who had the traveling bug, I was always the homebird.

I always enjoy your explanations Pug, thanks for that.

I also came across a place in India called ‘Spitti Valley’
They say it’s lovely there this time of the year, and who am I to dis sputum.
