Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Well today I have to go to either John Lewis or the Apple store for an iPhone case. The Apple store is only a mile away, just past Lewis's.

The case I have is too thick and bulky so I'm looking for something sleeker. Not sure £55 for a leather case is worth it but I'll probably cave in. I'm either going for forest green or midnight blue or maybe red.

I wouldn't have believed it if someone told me 6 months ago that this was all I had to bother about.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Thank you very much - it's nice to have people rooting for me.

I got a taxi up to the store (not thinking I would quite make it with my chest infection) but walked back which is all downhill.

I'm still taking this antibiotic course of pills. Apart from a bad cough, I don't think it has sapped my energy too much. In the past I know I would have had a fever too, necessitating a trip to the hospital but, fingers crossed, I don't feel too bad apart from a lack of sleep.

I cooked a small plate of bacon and scrambled eggs when I got home and ate an orange. I'm trying to stay away from bread and spreads - anything too calorific as I'm still a bit overweight.

Walking will help with that, though, if I only could get out a bit more. It was raining on the way back, just a few spots so I didn't really need the umbrella I'd forgotten to bring.

Oh, and I got my iPhone case - forest green in colour. It's much slimmer than the other one on what is already a bulky phone. It feels much better in my pocket now.

I wandered around the men's section of John Lewis but didn't buy anything. I was tempted by a jacket but it was £225, one of their designer ones and I wouldn't pay that much for a jacket, anyway. It's time I went back to charity shops in search of a bargain.

Woke up at 11. I've developed a habit of not sleeping well one night and oversleeping the next.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Yesterday I woke up at 7 after a 9 hour sleep. By 10am I was so tired that I went back to bed and slept until 6pm. Then I went back to bed at 10 and slept through until 4am.

I've been up since then, I have a nurses appointment at 11:40.

Dreamy I was starting to worry about you.
Thanks for updating.
You obviously need the sleep.
Take care, and I am glad you are OK.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

So today I have 2 appointments. First, a G.P. appointment at 10:30; secondly, a hospital appointment at 3:00 for an injection into my stomach.

I'm glad I managed to sleep well - too often I've slept badly the night before anything.
