Re: Not enough sleep

But you are cranky sometimes Pummy

Funny though ... I'm the same .. I often nod off for about 2 hours (go to bed at 2am, wake at 4 or 5am.. get up, have a cuppa, do some yoga, do some reading, in summer look at the garden, listen to the birds and then go back to sleep for a bit more if I can manage it.
I don't get cranky though as I'm a cute pacifist pig.

Re: Not enough sleep

I am lucky - right from childhood I have never needed more than 5 or 6 hours per night and am out like light when my head lands on the pillow.

I go to bed at midnight most nights and am up at 6:00am (Winter) or 5:00am (Summer) bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Re: Not enough sleep

Wifey's like that - could go off to sleep balanced on a barbed wire fence - in a snow storm.

I envy it a bit. She can just say "I'm going to sleep now" and within a minute, she's snoring loud enough to wake the dead.

Separate rooms has proved the only solution short of homicide.

Re: Not enough sleep

I've always liked my bed.
Mum used to say I was the same as a kid. I would get up for school, sit on the bed and nod off again.
I can start yawning even thinking about sleep.

Don't know about the snoring, Pummy, but the rest of it sounds just like me!!

Re: Not enough sleep

Due to the commutingto a from work, I was always awake around 05.30. Notwithstanding I've been 'retired' many years, I still can't lay in bed much beyond around 06.00 and more often than not am up and about sometime before that. I sleep very badly these days too due to Arthritic pains and breathing difficulties.

Re: Not enough sleep

My sleep isn't great at the best of times. Think I clocked up about 2 1/2 hours sleep last night. Surprising amount of traffic at 2.45 in the morning

Nothing to do with that, I have never liked going to bed late, even when young. Besides which I read for a while for switching my light off.
