My Robbie was born with Cataracts(Westie) and just thought he was clumsy so took him to the vets and they told me, we were living in Blackpool at the time and he had to go to Ludlow to have a consultation and then they operated a couple of weeks after that ,it was a long way to go three times in one week but he was fine after.Hope you are feeling a bit better now.

Thank you all for your kind replies.I'm glad you're Robbie's eye op was successful anniemuldoon.
I think these canine eye specialists are few and far, but it's worth the travelling.
Well Asti is home now, she is very sleepy and lethargic, she straight away jumped on the settee and there she has stayed and asleep. The operation went fine.
I was expecting her to come home with one of those head cones and a patch over her eye but she hasn't got either
. Her eye is quite closed. She's got several drops to put in her eye.She has to go back tomorrow for a check up.
