Re: Out or In for Christmas

We always either have it at home or go to another family member, not done that since my lovely MIL died, so home for us.

I prefer to be able to have the meal when we want and if anyone is fussy (foods can't touch each other) or allergic (no fun in anaphylaxis at Christmas time) relaxed and talking as loudly or quietly as we want.

Also we have a tradition of fun during the washing up after the meal which would mean a restaurant would just be bad second best for us !

Re: Out or In for Christmas

Hubby and I have always stayed at home for Christmas day, its not that we don't get invited to relatives houses but they all live so far away and as he always works Christmas eve and boxing day it makes it very difficult for us.

We love the day at home just chilling and eating when we want to, we don't have a strict schedule for food as we cook the meats the day before, prepare the vegetables and put them on when we think we will be hungry.

I once went out for Christmas day meal, did not like it at all, had to sit there upright talking in a whisper, could not wait to get back home.
