I would imagine that since she has gone public if by chance she does have a real living baby then Social Services could get involved very quickly. It certainly couldn't be a healthy environment for a child being brought up to believe a doll is it's brother.I have read various stories of women who have these dolls but in all the cases I've read about the women already have grown up families, they were not brought up to believe the dolls were their brothers and sisters.

It's probably not her husband's fault she has a problem, I never said that, but I still say he would do better to encourage her to talk to an expert, rather than sleep elsewhere forever, and buy her dolls to feed and nappy change.
To me, it isn't 'normal' for a woman in her mid thirties to be pushing dolls in prams about in the street and saying it's her son.
