Re: Cliches in films
We're expected to believe that two gorgeous people are unable to find love.
Anyone considered vaguely "scientific" has to wear glasses - which they whip on and off at random moments.
Anyone can access anyone's computer almost immediately, the screen always opens up in the middle of some useful information.
Delicate girls who in reality would be scared of spiders wield great weapons and face down monsters without a qualm, because they're "gutsy."
American children always say cute things.
Old people always have loads of thick hair and spout wise moralistic bits of life affirming stuff.
It's possible to hide from a bullet behind a car door or a tree. Unless you're a baddie.
When men and women are in bed, women always wear a nightdress so God forbid we don't spot anything untoward. Men get out of bed in shorts.
Unattractive ordinary looking people are either comedy roles, bums or really really nice people underneath.
Honest to God, don't these film makers have an ounce of original thought?
