I guess he means never waking up, ceasing to exist.
I often wonder about that, if you die in your sleep are you aware you have died, makes you think?

Mmmm!! I don't think I would be aware of anything if I was actually dead - at least I hope not. If I was going to die, I think I would like to die in my sleep. I have dreamt that I was dying, but I wake up with rather an unsettled feeling.

Sleep is a wonderful thing and its value shouldn't be underestimated.

We are only now learning the value of sleep.
It is a time for our bodies to heal and repair, for a days happenings to be filtered and store in our memories.
