You said you hope he would get a fair trial, then you go on to say "Of course he could be guilty, and he should spend the rest of his life in prison"
Of course he will be tried no doubt about that, but it is a formality everybody knows he is guilty, and so do you.
Did they give the people in the Boston bombing a fair chance, not in a chance, he would have been better shot on sight.

If charged with federal offenses he could face the death sentence.It will be difficult to find a jury for his trial. Lawyers are already speculating that much will be made of his age (19), and whether or not he was being influenced and led by others, perhaps his brother.
Edited to add that they now say he is writing responses to questions. Media suggests he will be questioned about "others in the cell".

Update which may be of interest to those stressing that the surviving suspect is innocent til proven guilty: when they hijacked a car one of the brothers told the owner they had set off the bombs that killed runners during the marathon, and would kill him too if he didn't cooperate.Another forum I was on tonight had a post saying the pressure cooker bombs are being referred to as Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs). Does this sound extreme or appropriate?
