Re: Laptop help needed
Apart from moving some files elsewhere - USB flashdrive, SD card, cloud etc, and deleting those programs which you rarely use and which can probably be reinstalled at a later date easily enough if they are actually needed, the simplest thing is just to ignore the Microsoft Update requests. They're rarely of any real importance if the machine has been working just fine.Re: Laptop help needed
Re: Laptop help needed
Bakerman - I think you and I are on the same level with all things computer. I asked a question some while ago and one of the lovely people here said to run "Belarc Advisor" - it's a thing you download from cyberspace. Then you run it and it prints out all the details of your software and hardware and everything anyone ever wanted to know about what your computer has and does...........magic!!Re: Laptop help needed
I suspect Bakerman has a notepad rather than a laptop, these damn things are limited in space as I found out, once windows starts its updates, best thing is to turn them off.Too late in my case and I suspect Bakermans.Re: Laptop help needed
I think you might need to at least have some understanding of what's inside your computer and the terminology used. Without that, it will probably be difficult to take advantage of any help suggested.Re: Laptop help needed
I would suggest that you start by downloading, and installing, the free version of "Belarc Advisor".Re: Laptop help needed
