I must admit I did have a quiet chuckle when I saw the first photo of Carole dressed up for the Antarctic as my brother (in Manchester) has sent me similar holiday photos. I thought it might be the old Butlins at Skegness which was one I never went to.

No WiFi is a deal breaker for me for any holiday destination I'm afraid. For a basic holiday camp in 2016 to not have it is quite poor TBH.
While I agree that in this day and age for a motel/hotel not to have wifi is pretty poor (but all too common in OZ) that is why you have a mobile phone so you have WiFi where ever you go.

I was looking for the photos of you paddling and swimming on those beaches. BTW it is Autumn here and the sea and air temperature is about 24'C
which is quite nice - not that I ever go near the beach.
