I am surprised he did not use a lift in the first place, i do because of my disability. However the intolerance shown to someone with a guide dog shows for me how sad our society has become towards disabled folk. The constant bombardment from present government demonizing those of us who struggle to live an independent life in a world geared otherwise is shocking.

In London it doesn't surprise me. All too up their own backsides, and see nothing apart from the next Champagne Bar.
Different reactions in different parts of the country, London is not a good example !

I like OldFools poems too they are very observant.

Actually in the case of the blind man the public did defend him and he has said he is touched by all the good wishes he received on the day and since. So maybe society isn't as bad as all that

Personally I think that blind people are very brave to take the tube it horrendous enough when one is sighted . Massive gaps, the edge of the platform and the steep escalators .
It's minefield .

I'd ban the inconsiderate not the disabled. And I like old fools posts, no one has to read or respond if they don't.
