Re: Not a party to be associated with.

I am sure you are all enjoying criticizing the party that you disapprove of, but it would appear that no party is up to the job and that isn't something to laugh about!

All our politicians are becoming a joke, but we have to vote for one and the choice is pretty poor.
Isn't it time that we all wrote to all potential parties, telling them that, if they want our vote, this is what we would vote for...........

I am ashamed of our politicians, and the fact that all they want is to get the best job and do things their way.
They are our representatives in government, and should be advised that we don't want to hear what the other side is doing wrong, we want them to do it right! If they are not up to the job they would be better getting out and letting somebody that is

Hi

I disagree, Momentum are Marxists, no different to the old Militant Tendency.

I cannot vote for a Marxist Philosophy.

An alliance of all moderates might be a good idea.

A third, 'centre' party.

But not under BLiar, of course.

The two party system is not working and never has. The one gets in and spends, spends, spends; borrows, borrows, borrows. Then the other one gets in and has to put the economy right again.
Then the first one is in again doing exactly what it did before.
And so it goes on.

This latter situation is perhaps the most worrying. I'd like to think that there are very few voters who support the Marxist party; mainly staunch militant union bosses and feeble-minded snowflakes who are so very easily swayed by trendy ideas.

I sincerely hope that the vast majority of those who still vote Labour are the traditional moderate working men (and women!). My reason for this is that if the two Labour parties should split, we would have a much more reasonable alternative for the Conservatives who, of course, are being made extremely unpopular by 'you know who' and are quite likely to lose the next GE if she continues in the way she is.
I would say the party has three divisions, not two. Firstly the old school socialist Labour Party - a working class party for working class people - those few who still live by the words and ideas of Tony Benn. Secondly the Blairite Tory Lite brigade - middle class pseudo intellectuals like Ummuna and his ilk who don't understand the working class and, worse, don't care that they don't understand the backbone of our country. Thirdly the equally middle class identity-politics-obsessed Momentum members who only care about race, gender, religion etc and would neither recognise nor understand a working class person if one kicked them up the jacksie. Unless the first group mentioned can reclaim the party, it might as well be dead.
