The first picture, the one with the redheads, she looked older with make up on. I think she looked younger and fresher in the pic on the left IMO.

I am sure your feet are far more aesthetically pleasing than mine! I have half a "sympathy bunion" on my left foot, a beleaguered appendage which has also had numerous sporting and "lifestyle" injuries, achiles, sprains, high heel twists in nightclubs when much younger. Apparently an erogenous zone, but IMO all ugh.

I agree but they do both look more polished with make up. The blonde lady is not smiling with teeth in the non made up pic. She has fabulous teeth which make a big difference too. Make up does make a difference. Foundation in particular if you get it right. I used to just wear powder with a tinted moisturiser and only bothered with foundation in the last year, but it can really give you a nice glow.

But we are very hung up on make up. I knew someone working in a posh dept store. They were forced to wear heavy foundation and make up as part of their job. She was battling with her employers as the foundation made her skin come up in a rash. But if you go to these stores or if you are on a plane, the stewardesses and shop assistants do look fabulous with the make up, but they are forced to wear it.

Re: Makeup can age the skin

Just as a matter of interest, how often do you ladies have a rummage through your make-up bags and replace things?

Here is a guideline I found:

* Foundations, concealers, and primers can be good for about two years. Cream eyeshadows and cheek products can be good for about one year.

Eyeliners and shadows in pencil form can last about three years.

Liquid eyeliner has the same expiration as mascara — six months.*

True Annie, when I was either on stage or making films, we had to wear make-up. I have worn some awful stuff!!!! But, I reiterate, so long as it is removed, I see no problem.

I’m not sure if you guys get the show criminal minds but the girl who plays Penelope is a total nerd who rocks her look.
These types of glasses. I really like them.

Gosh. I'd never put old mascara on my eyes, nor slap old stuff on my skin either.
