Breakfast can produce some of the most enticing aromas, frying bacon, toast, fresh coffee.....
In hospital many years ago, favourite breakfast options were, square, Lorne sausage or slices of fried black pudding on a roll with brown sauce.
A friend from Beijing would have Congee, a kind of rice porridge with pickles and tofu.
or Bao, steamed buns filled with sesame seeds or egg.
I must admit I did jump on the muesli bandwagon in the 70's, and felt very cosmopolitan and wholesome.
Nowadays I stick to fresh fruit and dried with natural yogurt or kefir.
