Well, cold sores finally have a use!

Anyone like me who has been plagued by these awful lesions, which seem to lurk only to appear when you feel at your lowest, will feel some sort of satisfaction at this new development where modified herpes virus have been successfully used to treat agressive melanoma

The even better news is that the treatment will be available within a year and could be developed for other cancer too

I heard about this on the radio news earlier DM it sounds like a big breakthrough in the treatment of a number of cancers not just melanoma.

Good to hear that. Haven't had one of the wee blighters for a long time. I used to feel as though I had a brick stuck on my lip. Yes, they do seem to appear when you're run down.
